ABOUT

FAROL and United Way come together

The Spanish Foundation for Human Rights, United Way Spain and Partnerships for Humanity, with the sponsorship of United Way’s Center to Combat Human Trafficking, have brought together a group of experts to create the Leadership Forum to Combat Modern Slavery a space to exchange ideas and share best practices to combat MS and Forced Labor. In addition, the event seeks to raise funds for the LEPE (developed by United Way Spain) and FAROL projects.

What’s it about

The event, which will be held in a hybrid way, will be in English and will have the following objectives:

• Establish a space for the exchange of ideas between national and international innovation professionals, business representatives, civil society and experts on modern slavery and forced labor in the world and how businesses can prevent modern slavery in their supply chain or combat it with best practices leading the way for other entities.

• Develop partnerships to elevate FAROL: Accelerator for startups that work at the intersection between Human Rights and innovation and that develop solutions to fight against forced labor and modern slavery.

• Develop partnerships to support the United Way Spain project Inhabiting Harvests (Habitando cosechas), being implemented in Lepe to abolish slums and improve the living conditions of migrants/day laborers.
